Workers Compensation Fundamentals Course at St. John's University
Register today for this 10-week program in Workers Compensation that is designed to provide detailed foundation knowledge concerning this important coverage. The curriculum identifies and explores how the various pieces of the workers compensation “puzzle” fit together, including history, coverage areas, claims, risk management, and pricing, among others. Upon completion of this course, taught by Donald DeCarlo, Esq., co-author of Workers Compensation:The First Hundred Years, students will be qualified for the Workers Compensation Designation (WCP®).

Education is the cornerstone of AMCOMP and we take our dedication to learning seriously. Our education and planning committees--guided by our highly-experienced board of directors--work hard to ensure the most relevant and beneficial education programs are lined up for each of our two meetings per year.
Further, AMCOMP is proud to offer one of the only certified education programs in workers' compensation, known as the Workers' Compensation Professional (WCP®) designation. Since launching the program, more than 500 Workers' Compensation Professionals have graduated from the program.
AMCOMP’s Principal ObjectiveS.
1. To maintain the integrity and degree of excellence in the field of workers' compensation by providing a professional designation (upon fulfillment of various criteria, including successful completion of a core curriculum and/or qualifying work experience) that will serve as an industry standard;
2. To further the education of all workers' comp professionals by providing relevant courses in the workers' compensation field of study and in related disciplines;
3. To maintain a current understanding of emerging trends and issues in the workplace and how they relate to the field of workers' compensation by means of newsletters, annual meetings, monographs, conferences and/or relevant seminars; and
4. To further ethical standards in the field of workers' compensation by establishing uniform guidelines and principles.
